UNM 11th Annual Mentoring Conference (Albuquerque, NM): Invitation and Call for Proposals


The Mentoring Institute at UNM is pleased to announce its 11th Annual Mentoring Conference, Mentoring, Coaching, and Leadership for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This four-day event will take place Monday, October 22, 2018 through Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Student Union Building on UNM's main campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

About the Conference

The Mentoring Institute invites researchers and practitioners from educational institutions, community leaders, administrators, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and other professionals to join them as presenters or participants in creating entrepreneurial mindsets and organizational environments that support innovation, and the growth and development of individuals in different fields of study and various types of organizations.

Together, participants will develop dynamic conversations and networking opportunities through hands-on workshops, individual/panel presentations, and plenary sessions. The Mentoring Institute aims to foster engagement among scholars and professionals in the fields of mentoring, coaching, and leadership.

If you are interested in showcasing your work, review the call for proposals and submit your abstract by May 15th, 2018 for a chance to present.

Who Attends the Conference?

The 2017 mentoring conference attracted more than 500 mentoring researchers and practitioners. 88% of attendees were faculty, staff or students from higher education. The remaining 12% were professionals and practitioners from health care, government, non-profit, and business organizations.
